Vineyards: Castelnuovo dell’Abate, 380–400 m a.s.l.

Vinification: Concrete fermentation, malolactic and 6–7 months aging in 54hl Allier oak, 3 months bottle refinement

Tasting: Lively ruby red with purple hue, cherry and plum, full and fresh palate with balanced tannins

Alcohol: 13%

Production: 20,000 bottles

Vineyards: Passo del Lume Spento (550–620 m a.s.l.) – highest in the appellation

Vinification: Concrete fermentation, 36 months in 54hl Allier oak barrels, 6 months bottle refinement

Tasting: Black cherry, licorice, underbrush. Firm and structured with energy and balance

Alcohol: 14%

Ratings: 95 pts Vinous (2015), 96 pts Wine Spectator (2016)

Production: 28,000 bottles
