Le Ragnaie cultivates Sangiovese in three diverse Montalcino microclimates. Their organic farming avoids chemical fertilizers and favors biodiversity through cover crops and forest surroundings. Sites include Vigna del Lago, Petroso, and Castelnuovo dell’Abate—offering distinctly elegant expressions of Brunello from elevations up to 600m.

Production: 100,000 bottles

Riccardo Campinoti crafts terroir-driven, organic Brunellos with finesse. Grapes ferment in concrete with native yeasts, then macerate for up to 90 days and mature for three years in Slavonian oak botti. Wines are unfiltered, showcasing purity and precision.

Riccardo, largely self-taught, began in 2002 with land few considered valuable. Now Le Ragnaie spans 50 acres and crafts four Brunellos annually, each scoring 90+ points. He’s a champion of elegance in a region once dominated by power wines.
